Responsibilities
QA with a dash of Production – Eager to get your hands dirty? You’ll investigate, analyze, document, test, regress, replicate, debug, and reproduce issues found across all our titles. You’ll liaise directly with the development team to help make our games the very best experiences possible. You’ll also help the production team keep the train on the tracks and running smooth. Since you will play a significant role in the day to day development, your feedback and opinions will not just be helpful -- they will be essential! We have a flat hierarchy at Hidden Variable, and you’ll be treated like the valued teammate that we expect you to be.
Requirements
- Completionist - “Never surrender” attitude when approaching herculean tasks (like multiple, full game playthroughs!)
- Swiss Army Knife - Dependable in any circumstance and useful in a variety of situations
- Smarty Pants - Strong understanding of how game systems work together and able to discern cause and effect criteria
- Go Getter - Highly self-motivated and able to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Universal Adaptor - Able to handle projects and tasks both solo or in tandem with the rest of our team
- Oracle - Know yourself well enough to know what you do well, and just as importantly, what you don't
- Sensei - Adept at being able to work on a variety of challenges on a variety of different projects
- Extra Credit – Familiarity with Mac/PC, mobile devices, and QA tools such as JIRA
